This Award aims to provide a comprehensive and structured training qualification to potential driving instructors (PDIs), equipping them with all the necessary skills, knowledge and understanding to teach learner drivers to be safe confident drivers post-test whilst adhering to DVSA standards for road safety.
With six in-car training days plus online training days to cover a full range of topics for your goal of becoming a driving instructor.

Each unit features thoughtfully designed assignments that reinforce your development and ensure meaningful progress throughout your qualification. With the flexibility to complete them in written, verbal, or recorded formats—either in-car or via Zoom—you can tailor your learning experience to suit your individual style.
